Blinking all the time is not necessarily caused by an eye disease, it could be a vitamin deficiency, it could be a vitamin A deficiency because vitamin A contains retinol. If you are indeed deficient in vitamin A, you can improve the symptoms of blinking all the time with vitamin A supplementation. Vitamin A should basically be taken continuously for 2-3 months, and you should also go to the hospital for a checkup to avoid vitamin A toxicity. It is also possible to have conjunctivitis, refractive error, eye strain or dry eyes. If it is conjunctivitis or keratitis, anti-inflammatory treatment is needed. If it is refractive error or eye fatigue, the symptoms can be improved by wearing glasses and maintaining reasonable eye habits. If it is a conjunctival foreign body or corneal foreign body, it needs to be removed by surgery as soon as possible. If a child is blinking all the time, it may be a child with Tourette’s Syndrome, which is characterized by involuntary blinking, squeezing of the eyes, nudging of the mouth and shrugging of the nose.
