How to measure whether a baby has jaundice

Measuring whether the baby has jaundice or not can be done through visual observation, transdermal measurement, blood test and other methods to determine whether there is jaundice or not.
1. Naked eye observation: You can observe the baby’s skin with naked eyes, whether the palms and feet are yellow or not, this method is not accurate enough and can only be used as a preliminary judgment.
2. Percutaneous measurement: use percutaneous jaundice meter to measure jaundice, no trauma, easy to operate, can be more accurate to determine the jaundice of the child.
3. Blood test: Blood test is the most accurate way to detect the level of bilirubin in the blood to determine whether the baby has jaundice or not.
It is recommended to take your child to the hospital for examination, and then according to the results of the examination, treatment will be carried out under the guidance of the doctor.
