AIDS is a category B infectious disease. Currently, China classifies infectious diseases into three categories of infectious diseases: A, B and C. Category A infectious diseases refer to plague and cholera, which require reporting within 2 hours of discovery. Category B infectious diseases, of which there are currently 25, also need to be reported within 12 hours of discovery. Category C infectious diseases, of which there are currently 12, are required to be reported within 24 hours of discovery. For these infectious diseases, timely reporting can effectively stop the spread of infectious diseases. For AIDS patients, if the diagnosis is clear, timely antiviral treatment is required. Only after regular antiviral treatment, AIDS can be controlled, but long-term medication is required.
