How old is the average face shape?

Facial shape refers to the skeletal stereotype of the face, which generally does not change much after the age of 18 weeks basically. The facial features of the human face are determined by the facial bones, and usually the epiphyses of the facial bones gradually disappear around the age of 18 weeks, after which the bones are basically set. The bones of the human body are growing and developing simultaneously. In clinical practice, we can usually judge the overall skeletal development of the human body by taking orthopantomographs of the pelvis and observing the epiphyses of the iliac spines bilaterally, in order to determine the overall skeletal development of the human body. If the pelvic orthopantomograph shows that the iliac spine epiphysis has completely closed, it means that the human skeleton has basically developed completely and will not change too much; if the pelvic orthopantomograph indicates that the epiphysis has not closed, it means that the skeleton will still continue to develop. Therefore, the development of facial bones can be indirectly understood by observing the epiphysis in the pelvic plain X-ray. In addition, the shape of the face is related to congenital genetics, as well as acquired habits and body fat, which can also be adjusted through cosmetic surgery methods.
