Right kidney stones are caused by many reasons, metabolic abnormalities, urinary tract obstruction, infections, use of foreign bodies and medications are common causes of right kidney stone formation. Other factors such as age, heredity and dietary habits are also contributing factors.
1. Abnormal metabolism: Increased excretion of substances that form urinary stones such as increased excretion of calcium, oxalic acid, uric acid or cystine in the urine. Urine pH changes, in alkaline urine easy to form magnesium ammonium phosphate and phosphate precipitation; in acidic urine easy to form uric acid and cystine crystals. Reduced substances in the urine that inhibit crystal formation and aggregation; reduced urine volume, so that the concentration of salts and organic substances increased.
2. Local etiology: urinary tract obstruction, infection and the presence of foreign bodies in the urinary tract are all local factors that induce stone formation. Obstruction can lead to infection and stone formation, while stones themselves are also foreign bodies in the urinary tract, the latter will aggravate the degree of obstruction and infection.
3. Drug-related factors: drug-induced kidney stones account for 1% to 2%. Related drugs are divided into two categories: one is the high concentration of urine and low solubility drugs, such as amphotericin. The other category is drugs that can induce stone formation, such as acetazolamide.
4. Others: older age, genetic factors, and poor dietary habits such as excessive intake of animal protein and low water intake may induce right kidney stones.
There are many causes of right kidney stones, so it is recommended to consult a doctor in time to avoid delaying the condition.
