37 weeks is a few months of pregnancy

Pregnancy is calculated on the basis of 4 weeks as 1 gestational month and 37 weeks of pregnancy as 9 months plus 1 week. Normal pregnancy starts from the first day of the last menstrual period and lasts for 280 days, i.e. 40 weeks. 37 weeks of pregnancy is 9 months plus 1 week, calculated on the basis of 4 weeks as 1 gestational month. At this time, the fetus is full-term, weighing about 2.5 kg, with more subcutaneous fat, disappearance of facial folds, and basic maturation of all body organ systems. The baby born after 37 weeks has a very good ability to survive and can successfully establish breathing and sucking functions after birth. After 37 weeks of pregnancy, there is a possibility of delivery at any time. Pregnant women should prepare for delivery, conduct weekly prenatal checkups, observe the development of placenta, amniotic fluid and fetus, pay attention to fetal movement, observe whether there is redness in the vagina, whether there is tightness and pain in the abdomen, and be ready to be hospitalized for delivery.
