Can’t you drink milk with gallstones?

Patients with gallbladder stones can drink low-fat or skimmed milk in moderation.

The formation of gallbladder stones is related to the change of cholesterol/bile acid concentration ratio and bile stagnation. Therefore, patients with gallbladder stones need to limit the intake of high-fat and high-cholesterol foods, and take a light diet in daily life. It is recommended to use skimmed milk or low-fat milk to avoid aggravating the condition.

Once gallbladder stones occur in an acute attack, it is recommended to fast and actively give appropriate treatment. If conservative treatment is ineffective, further surgical removal should be considered.

Gallbladder stone patients should eat breakfast on time, do not overeat, avoid drinking alcohol and other stimulating foods. Eat more fresh vegetables and fruits.

Patients with gallbladder stones are advised to undergo regular review and professional treatment under the guidance of the doctor.
