Swelling of soft tissues around the left mandible bone destruction is considered as mandibular tumor, mandibular osteomyelitis and mandibular tuberculosis, which can be treated with physiotherapy, medication, surgery and other comprehensive treatments. 1. Mandibular tumor: including primary tumor and bone metastatic cancer, both of which will lead to swelling of soft tissues around left mandibular bone destruction. Surgical resection and radiotherapy are needed. 2. Osteomyelitis of mandible: osteomyelitis of mandible due to bacterial infection and other pathogens will lead to destruction of bone quality of mandible and swelling of surrounding soft tissues. The treatment needs to be directed at the pathogen and physical therapy. Antibiotics such as levofloxacin and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as Loxoprofen sodium are used. In severe cases, surgery is needed to remove the lesion and bone grafting. 3. Tuberculosis of the mandible: Tuberculosis of the mandible will lead to bone destruction of the left side of the mandible and symptoms of swelling of the surrounding soft tissues. Systemic anti-tuberculosis treatment is required, with oral medications such as streptomycin, isoniazid and ethambutol. In severe cases, surgery to remove the TB lesions may also be required. In order to promote the reduction of swelling as soon as possible, it is recommended to visit a regular hospital for specialized treatment. Medications should be used as prescribed.
