What are Solifenacin tablets?

Solifenacin is an M-cholinergic receptor antagonist. Since there are abundant M-cholinergic receptors distributed on the bladder pushing muscles, and M-cholinergic receptors are under parasympathetic innervation, they cause spasm of the bladder pushing muscles. Therefore, after the use of solifenacin, through the combination of solifenacin and M cholinergic receptors, it can block the persistent spasm of the bladder forcing muscle caused by parasympathetic excitation, thus relieving the spasm of the bladder forcing muscle, to achieve the purpose of treating urinary frequency and urgency. At the same time, due to the blockade of M-type cholinergic receptors by solifenacin, it may lead to weakness of bladder forcing muscle contraction, which will increase the risk of producing urinary retention. Therefore, patients with prostate enlargement who need to use Solifenacin are recommended to take tamsulosin capsules at the same time to control the risk of developing urinary retention.
