The generic name of Polivi is clopidogrel bisulfate, and oral administration of clopidogrel bisulfate is not recommended for patients with stomach problems.
Clopidogrel bisulfate is used for the prevention and treatment of circulatory disorders of the heart, brain and other arteries caused by a state of high platelet aggregation. It comes in tablet form and is taken orally, either with food or alone.
Clopidogrel bisulfate is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to clopidogrel bisulfate and recent active bleeding (e.g., peptic ulcer, intracranial hemorrhage, etc.); use with caution in cases of liver injury, renal insufficiency, and bleeding tendency. Occasionally, gastrointestinal reactions (such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension, constipation, etc.), rash, skin and mucous membrane bleeding and other adverse reactions, and rare symptoms such as leukopenia and granulocyte deficiency.
Clopidogrel bisulfate may cause or aggravate gastrointestinal symptoms such as stomach pain, nausea, etc. in patients with gastric diseases (e.g., chronic gastritis, gastric ulcer, etc.), so it is not recommended for patients with gastric diseases. It should be noted that Clopidogrel Hydrogen Sulfate needs to be taken under the supervision of a doctor and should not be used without authorization.
