Treatment should be strengthening the spleen and vital energy, resolving dampness and opening up the orifices, so as to add flavor to Ginseng Ling Bai Zhu San. 3. Yin deficiency and dryness of the lungs (deficiency of the body’s yin, resulting in dryness of the lungs without nourishment): reddish and dry mucous membranes, mild atrophy, shrinkage of the nasal turbinates, dryness of the nose without mucus, decreased sense of smell, itchy pharynx, and dry cough with little sputum. Treatment is to nourish yin and moisten the lungs (nourishing the lungs by replenishing the lung fluid), moistening the dryness and glorifying the nose, and using nourishing yin and clearing the lungs soup with additions and subtractions. 4.
