Increased lung texture can be caused by both disease and non-disease factors.
Non-disease causes of increased lung texture include failure to inhale during radiographs, radiographs taken with the patient in a recumbent position, ageing of the X-ray bulb, heavy clothing, obesity, etc.
Disease-related increased lung texture is often caused by inflammation of the bronchi, cardiovascular disease, and dust work. A detailed examination in hospital is recommended to identify the cause.
