Fibroid surgery is the process of removing fibroids through an open or laparoscopic procedure.
After entering the abdominal cavity through laparotomy or laparoscopy, the exact location and number of fibroids can be seen. After injecting posterior pituitary hormone or uterotonin on the surface of the uterus, the fibroids will become more visible, and the plasma layer on the surface of the fibroids is cut open so that the fibroids can be stripped away, and after the stripping, there will be a depression on the surface of the uterus. If more than one fibroid is present in the uterus, the others are removed in the same way.
Some fibroid tumors are located under the mucous membrane and protrude into the uterine cavity, so they can be removed by hysteroscopy.
