The procedure of CPR for children: First, external chest compressions must be given, and children can be pressed with the root of the palm of one hand. If the infant is small and the sternum is relatively short, you can give the lower part of the sternum by pressing vertically with the index finger or middle finger together, which can also achieve the effect of compressions. The depth of compressions for children is 4-5 cm, the compression frequency is 100-120 times per minute, and after 30 compressions, the airway should be opened and two artificial respirations should be performed. Before opening the airway, it is necessary to determine whether there is any foreign body in the child’s mouth, and if there is any foreign body, it must be removed. After the airway is opened, 2 artificial respirations are given, and the artificial respiration must be effective only when the thorax is rising and falling. The time between airway opening and artificial respiration must be less than 10 seconds, and after 2 artificial respirations, turn back to chest compressions. After 5 groups, the operation can be temporarily stopped to determine whether the child’s breathing and heartbeat have recovered. If the child does not recover, the operation must be continued.
