Is it normal to have 3 bowel movements a day?

Whether or not 3 bowel movements a day is normal cannot be generalized. If the body maintains the frequency of 3 bowel movements per day for a long period of time and there are no other abnormalities, this is usually normal. If you suddenly have 3 or more bowel movements a day in a short period of time, it may indicate an abnormality in the body. It is normal for adults to have 1-2 bowel movements per day or 1 bowel movement every 2 days. If a person has had 3 bowel movements per day for several years, with normal stool characteristics and no signs of weight loss or anemia, this is usually due to rapid bowel movement and is not caused by organic pathology. If a person has 3 bowel movements per day for a short period of time, it may indicate the presence of enteritis. If the bowel movements are accompanied by pain, incomplete bowel movements, or even pus and blood, the patient must go to the gastroenterology department as soon as possible for a colonoscopy. Patients are advised to drink water properly in daily life, eat a balanced diet of meat and vegetables, eat less spicy and stimulating food, and ensure a hygienic and regular diet to reduce the occurrence of diarrhea.
