How long does it take for a fractured tailbone to heal?

Tailbone fractures usually take 3-4 months to heal. The tailbone fracture is caused by the local trauma of the tailbone landing after the injury, and because of the special shape of the tailbone, there will be a slight displacement after the fracture. This fracture is usually treated conservatively, which means bed rest, avoid sitting and standing for a long time, local swelling can be reduced within 48 hours by applying ice to reduce local swelling and relieve pain, and after 48 hours it is replaced by hot compresses to improve local blood circulation and facilitate fracture recovery, as well as oral administration of blood-activating and pain-relieving drugs such as Panax notoginseng tablets, which can promote fracture healing. Patients also need to review the fracture once a month to observe the recovery of the fracture, and when the fracture site is no longer painful, they can properly move down to the ground, but it takes 3-4 months for this fracture to fully recover. In addition, it should be noted that patients should avoid being sedentary when the fracture is not healed, and they should be given a diet high in protein and avoid spicy and stimulating foods.
