A large abdomen is not necessarily due to heavy dampness, but may also be due to the presence of abdominal diseases, specifically related to the patient’s symptoms.
People with heavy dampness generally have symptoms such as heavy limb sleepiness (weakness and heaviness of the limbs), dullness (lack of appetite, reduced food intake), nausea, loose stools (loose and unformed stools), diarrhea, fatigue, dizziness, and other discomforts. If the patient presents with a large abdomen and the above symptoms, he or she may be suffering from a high level of dampness.
A large abdomen may also be related to ascites, hepatitis and other abdominal diseases. Patients who have abdominal pain, distension or experience nausea, vomiting and other uncomfortable symptoms may not be heavy with dampness.
Patients should eat a light diet in daily life, eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, and supplement more protein, vitamins and other nutrients. You can exercise properly to enhance your physical fitness. Meanwhile, you should keep a good mood and avoid anxiety and excessive tension.
If the abdomen is large and accompanied by other uncomfortable symptoms, you should immediately seek medical attention, go to a regular hospital examination, do targeted treatment, do not self-diagnosis and treatment, so as not to cause more serious consequences.
