The duration of treatment for severe non-gonococcal urethritis depends on the patient’s condition and usually requires 14 to 21 days or more of treatment. Non-gonococcal urethritis has a longer course, more insidious onset, milder symptoms, and often multiple complications, making it a long treatment cycle. If the patient does not have complications, the treatment program generally requires 14 to 21 days, after the disappearance of the relevant symptoms, repeat urine routine, secretion culture, etc., if they are negative, followed by 1 week of medication, to be sure to achieve clinical cure. If the patient has other complications, such as epididymitis, prostatitis, salpingitis, etc., then its treatment time is extended and may exceed 21 days. When patients suffer from severe nongonococcal urethritis, it is recommended that they seek prompt medical attention for early treatment.
