What is DDH hip dysplasia?

Adult hip dysplasia is a common disease in joint surgery, accounting for the second most common cause of artificial hip replacement surgery in China, accounting for about 20%. Currently, more than 100,000 people undergo artificial hip replacement surgery due to dysplasia in China every year. If these patients do not receive early diagnosis and treatment, they will soon develop into hip osteoarthritis, which seriously affects the health of young and middle-aged people and increases the economic and social burden of the nation. Why does it hurt when you have this disease? Patients often ask this question, and I hope to use these diagrams to help you understand. This diagram is a schematic diagram of the frontal and lateral position of the hip joint, the right hip joint is problematic have you found it? No? Let’s look at it a little closer. Do you see? The right femoral head is not encapsulated by the acetabulum and a large piece is exposed. Still not clear? Look further down. That’s clearer. Because of the lack of coverage of the femoral head, the pressure that could be distributed to the entire joint is concentrated on half of the femoral head. As a result, the femoral head and the corresponding part of the acetabulum are worn out. In turn, this causes pain, popping and surrender locking around the hip joint.
