What is commonly referred to as the endo is the female internal genitalia, including the vagina, uterus, fallopian tubes and ovaries.
1. Vagina: It is the passageway for delivering the fetus and discharging menstruation, connecting the vulva and the uterus. The vagina is lined with Lactobacillus, which maintains an acidic environment and keeps the vagina free from bacteria.
2. Uterus: Located in the center of the pelvis, it produces menstruation and is the organ that nurtures the fetus during pregnancy.
3. Fallopian tubes: Located on both sides of the uterine fundus, the tubes are divided into the mesenchymal, isthmus, pudendal, and umbilical portions, of which the pudendal portion is the part where sperm and egg combine to form a fertilized egg.
4. Ovary: The main role is to produce and discharge egg cells, secretion of sex hormones (estrogen, progesterone and a small amount of androgen) can promote the development of female sexual characteristics. Generally, the left ovary and the right ovary will discharge a mature egg alternately every month.
In daily life, women should pay attention to personal hygiene, change underwear regularly and bathe frequently, which can prevent the reproductive organs from bacterial infection and avoid causing gynecological diseases.
