Symptoms of Breast Cancer in the Middle to Late Stages

Symptoms of breast cancer in middle and late stages mainly include the following three aspects: 1. Symptoms of breast itself: the most common ones are breast lumps, and painless and progressive growth of lumps in breast is the most common first symptom. There are also changes in the nipple, nipple overflow, or nipple flattening, retraction, inversion, as well as nipple skin erosion, scabs and other eczema-like changes, there may also be a change in the breast skin, breast skin edema, orange peel-like changes, or breakage of the skin after the cauliflower-like changes. The shape of breast may also change, with bilateral breast asymmetry, bilateral nipple not on the same level, etc., and breast pain.2. Enlargement of regional lymph nodes: breast cancer cells can be transferred to regional lymph nodes along with lymphatic reflux, and the metastasis to the axillary lymph nodes is the most common.3. Distant organ metastasis: after the occurrence of distant metastasis, i.e., the Stage Ⅳ breast cancer, the generalized symptoms such as fatigue, lethargy, and so on, may be seen. After distant metastasis of breast cancer, i.e. stage IV breast cancer, there may be systemic symptoms such as fatigue, emaciation, bone pain, abnormal liver function, respiratory difficulty, etc., which are caused by the involvement of distant organs.
