Stomach cancer can cause bleeding in stool, but it is an atypical symptom, which is commonly seen in patients with advanced stage of stomach cancer. When the tumor is relatively large and has seriously invaded the important blood vessels around, or the tumor itself breaks down and has persistent bleeding, bleeding in stool may occur. However, generally stomach cancer mainly manifests as digestive symptoms. Early stomach cancer usually has nausea, indigestion, feeling of fullness, vague pain in epigastrium, and in the progressive stage of stomach cancer, the vague pain is intensified, and the systemic symptoms are obvious. Decrease in appetite, fatigue, lethargy, weight loss are all the important manifestations and symptoms of stomach cancer in the progressive stage. Other types of gastric cancer, such as cardia cancer, will have difficulty in eating and swallowing. Cancer in the pyloric region may have pyloric obstruction, and the patient will have violent vomiting, and the vomitus is usually overnight hangover. Blood in stool is often seen in malignant tumors of the lower gastrointestinal tract or lesions of the rectum and anal canal, such as malignant tumors of the rectum, malignant tumors of the sigmoid colon, anal fistula or hemorrhoids.
