Best time for urine hcg test

The best time to perform a urine HCG test is related to the regularity of the patient’s menstruation. In particular, for patients who usually have regular menstruation with a delay of about 1 week and a urine pregnancy test of (+), regular monitoring is required if recent menstruation is irregular and the best time cannot be determined. If sperm and egg combine to form a fertilized egg after intercourse, HCG can be produced in the blood after 6-7 days. Early pregnancy test requires a certain level of HCG in the urine to be detected, and usually, pregnancy can be detected about 2 weeks after intercourse. However, since the urine pregnancy test is a qualitative test, it cannot determine intrauterine pregnancy or ectopic pregnancy. Therefore, if the urine pregnancy test is positive, the location of the fetal sac should be determined by blood HCG test and ultrasound to exclude ectopic pregnancy. It is recommended that women of childbearing age who experience delayed menstruation should use early pregnancy test to detect pregnancy, and if necessary, choose morning urine for testing to increase the detection rate.
