Is spiral ct the same as a colonoscopy

Spiral CT and colonoscopy are different means of examination, and they are very different in terms of examination principle, examination effect, process experience and examination risk. 1. Inspection principle: the inspection principle of spiral CT is that X-rays are absorbed to different degrees when they penetrate different densities of tissues in the human body, thus presenting signals of varying strengths and weaknesses on the receiver, and the corresponding images are formed by the computer after signal conversion; enteroscopy is an invasive inspection, which requires the lens to be placed into the intestinal lumen through the anus, and the lesions inside the intestines will be observed under the direct vision. 2. Inspection effect: Spiral CT can infer the disease through the morphological changes of the digestive tract wall, but it is easy to miss the diagnosis, and in many cases, it is difficult to make a clear diagnosis; enteroscopy can not only observe the lesions in the intestinal lumen directly under the direct vision, but also take the biopsy tissue for pathology to further make a clear diagnosis, and it is the best means of diagnosing intestinal diseases. 3. Process experience: CT examination usually has no obvious discomfort, but there is a certain amount of radiation; while colonoscopy is an invasive examination, the examination process will have more obvious discomfort, such as anal pain, abdominal distension, diarrhea, etc., some patients can be under anesthesia for painless colonoscopy. 4. Examination risk: spiral CT examination as a non-invasive examination is generally not much risk, only enhancement scanning of patients may appear contrast allergic reaction; enteroscopy as an invasive examination there are many risks, such as intestinal bleeding, intestinal perforation. Spiral CT and colonoscopy, as commonly used clinical examinations, have their own indications, and patients are advised to consult with their medical professionals to choose the appropriate examination method according to their conditions.
