It is not known whether tobramycin dexamethasone ophthalmic ointment can be used in pregnant women, and it is recommended that it be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit outweighs the potential risk to the fetus, and that it be applied as directed by a physician and according to your condition. Tobramycin Dexamethasone Ophthalmic Ointment is used primarily for ophthalmic inflammatory lesions caused by adrenocorticotropic hormones, bacterial infections of ocular skin lesions, infectious conjunctivitis, chronic anterior uveitis, and corneal injuries, and it also has an inhibitory effect on common ocular bacteria and pathogens. Application of tobramycin dexamethasone ophthalmic ointment may cause adverse reactions such as eyelid stinging, edema, conjunctival congestion, increased intraocular pressure, glaucoma, optic nerve damage, formation of posterior subcapsular cataracts, delayed wound healing, and secondary infections. It is contraindicated in patients who are allergic to the components of tobramycin dexamethasone ophthalmic ointment; in patients with herpes simplex virus keratitis, cowpox, chickenpox, corneal and conjunctival diseases due to viral infections, Mycobacterium ocularis infections, or fungal infections; and in patients whose corneal foreign bodies have not been completely removed. Athletes and lactating women should use with caution. This product may be cross-sensitized with other aminoglycoside antibiotics.
