The face is an important exposed part of the body, and burns bring great trauma to the patient’s body and mind. Good care of the face is directly related to the physical and mental recovery of the patient. For patients with facial burns, the following should be done: (1) First check for inhalation injury and shock status. (2) After facial and neck burns, you should be hospitalized in a hospital specializing in burns. (3) Take a semi-recumbent position and elevate the head to facilitate the fading of traumatic edema, but take a flat position during the shock period and change to a head-high position when the shock is corrected. (4) Trauma care, ① shave the hair if the burn area reaches the head or is close to the hairline; ② use exposure therapy after trauma cleaning, use 60w baking lamp or far infrared radiation to keep the trauma dry; ③ keep the environment clean and reduce the flow of people (especially visiting people), because frequent flow of people will bring all kinds of dust or bacteria, which is an important factor leading to the occurrence of infection and is directly related to the healing effect of the patient’s trauma. (5) Psychological care. Patients with burn injuries are worried about facial scarring, fear of eye blindness, future life and work, etc. They are often in tension and anxiety, and are eager to save their lives. Nursing staff should deeply care for the patient, give sympathy and comfort to the patient; take the initiative to ask and observe the condition, use medical knowledge to explain the condition and the law of development, such as why the swelling is obvious, when the swelling can be reduced, when the eyes can be opened, etc., so that the patient has an understanding of his condition, so as to reduce ideological concerns and actively cooperate with the treatment.
