How to deal with accidental tooth loss

Recently, our department has seen an increase in the number of patients with accidental tooth loss, and the incorrect preservation methods of some patients for their lost teeth may seriously affect the success of dental reimplantation. Once a tooth is accidentally lost, the correct preservation and treatment should be taken to strive for successful reimplantation. The following is the correct treatment for accidental tooth loss: 1. After the tooth is accidentally lost, you should quickly retrieve the lost tooth, immediately rinse off the dirt with water or light salt water, and promptly go to the nearest hospital or dental clinic to ask the dentist to handle it. 2.If the conditions of medical treatment are limited at that time, the lost tooth should be rinsed clean (do not touch the root), put into milk or contained in the mouth, or directly carry out the lost tooth implanted in the original socket, and then go to the hospital for consultation. 3, after the tooth is lost, if there is attached tissue on the surface; do not use the appliance to remove it at will, do not leave it in a dry environment for too long or place it in a corrosive solution. If the tooth loss involves the alveolar or gum, do not remove it at will. 4. If the tooth is broken off, it is usually a horizontal fracture, do not throw it away, but save it according to the above method and go to the hospital or dental clinic immediately. The shorter the consultation time, the higher the probability of success of the implant survival. The longer the consultation time, the more severe the root resorption of the replanted tooth. The success rate of replantation of the affected tooth is seriously affected by improper preservation.
