HCG is usually caused by pregnancy, but we cannot exclude that it is caused by gestational trophoblastic disease, further ultrasound examination can be performed to clarify the diagnosis. 1.Pregnancy: after the fertilized egg is laid in the uterine cavity, it will secrete HCG, usually HCG > 5mIU/ml after 7-10 days of intercourse; around 30 days of pregnancy, HCG > 100mIU/ml; the highest HCG can be reached at 6-8 weeks of pregnancy, if If there is an abnormal increase, we should consider whether it is a twin pregnancy and suggest ultrasound examination to further confirm whether it is a normal pregnancy; 2. Gestational trophoblastic disease: If HCG does not gradually rise but suddenly reaches more than 100000mIU/ml, we should consider whether it is gestational trophoblastic disease, including staphyloma, erosive staphyloma, choriocarcinoma, etc. Therefore, if the HCG value is found to be elevated, it is necessary to improve the relevant tests and take appropriate treatment measures after differential diagnosis. If the pregnancy is normal, regular obstetric checkups are sufficient. If the pregnancy is normal, regular obstetric checkups can be performed. If the pregnancy is gravida, the uterus should be removed promptly, and in the case of choriocarcinoma, surgical treatment can be performed.
