What is undifferentiated liposarcoma

Undifferentiated liposarcoma is generally referred to as undifferentiated pleomorphic liposarcoma and is a highly malignant tumor.
Liposarcoma mostly occurs in the retroperitoneum and thighs, and according to its different differentiation degree, it can be divided into highly differentiated liposarcoma, mucinous liposarcoma, dedifferentiated liposarcoma and pleomorphic liposarcoma, among which pleomorphic liposarcoma belongs to one of the more serious ones, which has a low degree of differentiation and a high degree of malignant, and it is possible to metastasis with the blood in early stage, and the disease progresses rapidly and is prone to recurring, and it should be treated at the earliest possible time.
At present, there is no better way to treat undifferentiated pleomorphic liposarcoma, once diagnosed, surgery should be performed as soon as possible to avoid metastasis, and postoperative radiotherapy and chemotherapy should be given in time to avoid recurrence of the tumor to the greatest extent possible. If the tumor recurs or metastasizes, it can only be surgically removed again.
