Excessive farting is usually not caused by Yang Sheng. Excessive farting may be caused by eating foods such as radish and sweet potato, or by damp-heat in the spleen and stomach, or stagnation of gastrointestinal qi.
Patients with Yang Sheng mostly show symptoms such as strong heat, no sweat, thick breath, irritability, dry mouth, etc., and usually do not show excessive farting. If some foods such as radish and sweet potato are eaten, they may cause excessive farting, and usually do not need special treatment.
Patients with damp-heat in the spleen and stomach may have excessive farting, distention and stuffiness in the abdomen (feeling bloated and uncomfortable in the abdomen), dullness (lack of appetite, decreased food intake), nausea and vomiting, sticky and greasy taste in the mouth, thirst and lack of drinking, loose stools (stools that are not shaped, and a feeling of not being emptied after passing stools), short and yellowish urine, and heavy and heavy limbs (limbs that are weak and heavy).
Patients with Qi stagnation in the stomach and intestines may have symptoms such as excessive farting, abdominal distension, rumbling in the intestines, belching (burping), and abdominal distension and pain.
If the symptoms of excessive farting are not relieved for a long time or accompanied by other discomforts, consult a doctor promptly to identify the cause and carry out targeted treatment.
