How long can you live with alcoholic cirrhosis?

Alcoholic cirrhosis is a serious stage of alcoholic liver disease, and the prognosis of patients is relatively poor; the specific life expectancy cannot be generalized, and there are certain differences. Alcoholic cirrhosis is divided into two stages. Patients in the compensated stage have no significant decompensation of liver function, and if they actively quit drinking and deal with the original disease, the disease progression can be slowed down or even stopped, so that life expectancy is not affected. If the disease progresses further and enters the decompensated stage, it will affect the life expectancy, and at this time, it has entered the end stage of alcoholic liver, and the five-year survival rate of most patients is less than 20%, and if necessary, only liver transplantation can be used to improve the prognosis. Patients are advised to abstain from alcohol, take proper rest, combine work and rest, maintain a good state of mind, eat a diet that is high in calories, high in protein, high in vitamins, and easy to digest, and actively cooperate with doctors to prolong survival time as much as possible.
