Treatment of transient loss of consciousness

For patients with transient loss of consciousness, treatment should follow the following principles: 1. Maintain hemodynamic stability: lie down immediately, elevate the lower limbs to increase venous return, administer oxygen, open venous access, monitor cardiac electricity and blood pressure, correct various arrhythmias, prepare for cardiopulmonary resuscitation, stabilize the internal and external environment of the body, supplement blood volume and apply vasoactive drugs if necessary; 2. Actively treat the primary disease and find the cause: diagnose the cause by history, physical examination, biochemical examination, X-ray, electrocardiogram, ambulatory cardiogram, and color consultation: Diagnose through medical history, physical examination, biochemical examination, X-ray chest film, electrocardiogram, dynamic electrocardiogram, color ultrasound auxiliary diagnosis, and if necessary, request consultation with relevant departments. For patients with suspected cardiogenic syncope, immediately enter the monitoring ward to monitor vital signs, provide symptomatic treatment, and perform bedside cardiac ultrasound if necessary. For patients with cerebral syncope, brain CT, MRI or vascular imaging should be performed when the condition is stable, and patients with unstable condition should be admitted to the monitoring ward for symptomatic treatment such as lowering cranial pressure.3.
