The national patent “Ultra-minimally invasive funnel chest correction plate and its surgical method” invented and pioneered by Li Guoqing, Director of Cardiothoracic Surgery Department of Shanghai Xinhua Hospital, has been widely promoted in China and has been well received by patients nationwide. After years of clinical practice, our department has submitted a paper on the experience and summary of ultra-minimally invasive funnel chest treatment to the American Journal of Cardiothoracic Surgery, which has received close attention from overseas experts. The paper was promptly accepted and published by the journal, and was recommended to be a congress speaker and invited keynote speaker at the American Cardiothoracic Surgery Annual Meeting in July and the World Thoracic Wall Organization Annual Meeting and Asian Cardiothoracic Conference in Hong Kong in May this year, respectively. So far, the ultra-minimally invasive funnel chest plate and its procedure, as the first and foremost treatment method for funnel chest in China, will go out of the country and get worldwide attention with its advantages of less trauma and more obvious effect. And the cardiothoracic surgery team of Xinhua Hospital, after a long period of business practice and continuous development of new fields, will show its presence on the international stage again!
