Why do you have bad breath even though you have normal Helicobacter pylori?

Halitosis symptoms in patients with normal H. pylori test may also be caused by oral diseases, purulent tonsillitis and physiologic factors.
1. Oral diseases: purulent pulpitis, pulp necrosis, periodontitis, gingivitis and other oral diseases can lead to bad breath in the patient’s mouth.
2. Purulent tonsillitis: various pathogenic microorganisms can infect the palatine tonsils leading to acute purulent disease, common symptoms include sore throat, chills, high fever, enlarged lymph nodes and bad breath.
3. Physiological factors: Physiological factors such as long-term accumulation of food debris in the mouth, inattentive brushing, hunger, smoking, use of drugs, garlic or onion can lead to halitosis.
There may be other reasons for bad breath in patients with normal H. pylori test, so we suggest that patients should consult with gastroenterology, stomatology and other related departments in regular hospitals.
