This formula is often used in treating the deficiency of yin and yang in the course of chronic diseases such as advanced hypertension, cerebral arteriosclerosis, post-stroke, spondylitis, etc. This formula favors warming and tonifying. This formula favors warm tonic, so it is not suitable for those with rising qi fire, hyperactivity of liver yang and obvious signs of yang-heat.
