What to eat with diarrhea

In acute diarrhea, the most common cause is infection, including infectious diarrhea caused by bacteria and viruses, etc. In chronic diarrhea, it is mostly caused by chronic inflammation of the intestine or tumors. In acute diarrhea, because the number of stools increases, and some patients have severe vomiting and diarrhea, and even fever, they are in a state of dehydration, so they need to actively replenish water, and can take oral rehydration salt. The most important thing is to clarify the cause of diarrhea and prescribe the right medicine for the cause in order to solve the problem at the root. During the treatment period, it is recommended that the diet be light and easy to digest, because some patients with chronic diarrhea have intestinal ulcers, which may lead to intestinal bleeding and intestinal perforation if they eat hard food. Therefore, patients with diarrhea should actively replenish water to avoid dehydration and take oral rehydration salts if necessary; the diet should be based on light and easily digestible food, and the cause of diarrhea should be identified and treated for the cause in order to solve the problem at root.
