There is no particularly effective drug treatment for chronic nephritis, which means there is no drug that can completely cure chronic nephritis at this stage. The purpose of chronic nephritis treatment is only to control the patient’s symptoms and slow down the progression of chronic kidney disease. The main reason for this is to choose a drug for the clinical performance of the patient. If chronic nephritis is combined with edema, hydrochlorothiazide, spironolactone or furosemide can be used, and if hypertension is combined, valsartan, irbesartan or enalapril can be used. In some cases of chronic nephritis with normal kidney function combined with large amounts of proteinuria, prednisone can be used to reduce urine protein treatment, so there is no particularly effective drug for chronic nephritis.
