New dietary treatment for diabetes

Diet therapy for diabetes is an important tool, the cheapest and easiest treatment that almost all diabetics should use. But exactly how to use it for each patient and the specific requirements of the diet program, that is very different. Among the more influential dietary treatments for diabetes, the ones that are well known to the majority of diabetics are total calorie control, three meal distribution and calculation methods. Also popular is the idea of choosing the type of food and having small and frequent meals. However, the three major rules of diabetic diet therapy are: first, the cooperation with other therapeutic measures; second, the control of total energy; third, individualized dietary nutrition support. It is especially important to match diabetic diet therapy measures with other measures, for example, if you use different medications, different insulin, different exercise patterns, different exercise intensity, different complication conditions, your diabetic diet therapy measures will be different. Diabetic diet therapy with small, multiple meal portions is likely to be more effective than a total control focused breakfast-lunch, fruit-only dinner regimen. A study by Czech scholars showed that eating only breakfast and lunch was superior to eating six meals in terms of weight loss and lowering blood sugar in type 2 diabetics with the same dietary calories. But the point is to have a diabetes specialist, nutrition specialist, pharmacist, eye and kidney specialist all working together to do an overall diabetes control reversal program, and a nutritional diet specialist to develop a nutritional diet diabetes treatment program based on the larger program.
