Post-operative picture of me and the patient The case presented in this article was done by me three years ago. The patient was a 70-year-old female. She had been suffering from bilateral knee osteoarthritis for more than 20 years and had severe bone destruction, deformity and subluxation of both knees. X-rays revealed severe damage to the osteoarthritic surfaces of both knees and subluxation of the knee joints. The patient was treated with simultaneous bilateral knee joint replacement. The surgery took 3 hours, and the patient was able to walk on his own with the help of crutches 5 days after the surgery, and abandoned the crutches after 3 weeks. 5 months later, he was able to walk normally and go up and down stairs. While living completely on her own, she also quit her nanny and started to cook and buy food for her family. The photo in the front is a picture of the patient with me 5 months after the surgery.
