High blood uric acid is generally not allowed to drink alcohol.
Any alcohol, such as liquor and beer, are drinks with high purine content, which are metabolized to produce uric acid, leading to a further rise in blood uric acid concentration. In addition, alcohol can promote the conversion of purine to uric acid, leading to a continuous rise in uric acid, which can lead to gouty arthritis and exacerbate the condition in severe cases. Therefore, high blood uric acid is generally not allowed to drink alcohol.
In addition to avoiding alcohol, patients with high blood uric acid should also strictly control their diet, try to avoid eating high purine foods, such as animal offal, seafood, thick soup and other foods, eat more fruits, vegetables, dairy products and other low purine foods.
Patients with high blood uric acid are advised to go to the rheumatology and immunology departments of regular hospitals for detailed consultation and follow the doctor’s instructions for a reasonable diet.
