How long do people with AIDS live?

The survival time of AIDS patients varies from person to person, depending on the time of diagnosis, whether or not they have undergone regular and systematic treatment, as well as their state of mind and their own immunity, and cannot be generalized. AIDS is a common infectious disease that cannot be completely cured with the current medical treatment. The survival period of AIDS is determined by many factors, such as early detection and timely treatment can extend the life span of 20-30 years; if the detection is late and the CD4 cell value is already very low, even if the best antiviral drugs are used, the effect is not obvious and the survival period will become shorter. Secondly, whether or not to receive treatment after the diagnosis of AIDS, the availability of financial means, and one’s own psychological capacity will also affect the life expectancy. AIDS patients should usually drink more water, exercise properly, ensure sufficient sleep and a good state of mind, and reduce going out or gathering in crowded places to avoid the occurrence of infection.
