Small red spots on thigh follicles can be caused by a variety of pathological reasons, including eczema, perifollicular keratosis, folliculitis and so on.
1. Eczema: caused by endogenous factors such as spreading of infection foci in the body, endocrine disorders, hormonal imbalance, varicose veins, genetic factors, or exogenous sensitizing factors such as contact with pollen, animal hair, strong sun exposure, chemical damage, etc., it can be diffuse all over the body, and is often symmetrically distributed polymorphous skin lesions, which are manifested as needle-point or corn-grain sized papules and pimples on the basis of erythematous spots.
2. Perifollicular keratosis: due to genetic factors or severe vitamin A deficiency, resulting in keratin accumulation around the hair follicle skin color or reddish papules, containing curly hairs, not fused, into chicken skin-like.
3. Folliculitis: an inflammatory disease caused by bacterial and fungal infections such as Staphylococcus aureus and Malassezia, manifesting as red papules centered on hair follicles, which may be topped with white pus dome.
It is recommended that patients with red spots on the thigh follicles or patients with serious and long-lasting symptoms should seek medical treatment in time and standardize the use of medication under the guidance of a doctor.
