Common methods to cure sinusitis in children

The so-called sinusitis in children is also known clinically as rhinosinusitis in children. It is subdivided into acute and chronic depending on whether the history of the disease is more than 12 weeks. Acute sinusitis is mostly associated with upper respiratory tract infections and can usually be cured, but with recurrent colds, there are repeated acute attacks. The clinical recommendation is to prefer cephalosporin or amoxicillin clavulanate potassium for 10-14 days, commonly used are cefotaxime sodium and cefixime. As for chronic sinusitis, it has been clearly pointed out clinically that it is a disease that cannot be completely cured and is related to many factors, such as adenoid hypertrophy and allergic reactions. Some require adjuvant surgical treatment, such as adenoidectomy. Clinical experience shows that after adolescence, with the development of sinus cavitation and the gradual improvement of immune function, the majority of children with chronic sinusitis will gradually heal on their own.
