What’s wrong with coffee-colored menstrual blood?

If the color of menstrual blood is coffee-colored and clinically accompanied by pain in the lower abdomen, it may be due to the following reasons: 1. Because of the abnormal position of the uterus, such as a forward-flexed uterus or a backward-flexed uterus, this will cause the menstrual blood to flow out smoothly. Therefore, when menstrual blood accumulates in the uterine cavity and is discharged outside the vagina, it becomes coffee-colored and is clinically associated with dysmenorrhea. In this case, it is advisable to improve the position when menstruation occurs, for example, if the uterus is in retroflexion and posterior tilt, it is recommended to rest on the bed. If the uterus is in a forward-flexed and anteriorly inclined position, it is recommended that a hot water bag be placed on the abdomen so as to improve the position of the uterus, which can make the menstrual blood flow more smoothly and reduce this coffee-colored menstrual blood and the possibility of dysmenorrhea; 2. Because of inflammation in the pelvis, resulting in this coffee-colored bloody discharge, it is recommended that a gynecological examination is best in clinical practice. If there is inflammation actively give anti-inflammatory treatment, it will clinically improve the situation of coffee-colored menstrual blood.
