How do we ensure the safety of artificial joint replacement surgery for elderly patients? In the whole process of practicing medicine, our pursuit is: “safety, quality and elaborate”. Safety is the prerequisite and foundation, based on safety to achieve quality treatment, in the whole process of treatment, careful service. We adhere to the service philosophy of “patient safety is paramount, surgical techniques are perfect, and patient services are carefully taken care of.” Most of the patients of artificial y/knee joint replacement are elderly patients, often with cardiovascular disease/hypertension/diabetes/respiratory disease, and hip and knee joint replacement surgery has a certain risk of complications, how to ensure the safety of the operated patients during the whole operation period? Our approach is to form a complete medical safety assurance system: (1) pre-operative discussion of surgical cases, scientific formulation of surgical plans, and provision of patients with realistic surgical plans; (2) pre-operative comprehensive assessment of the patient’s physical condition and consultation with the appropriate departments; (3) each patient has a surgical team responsible for the entire process, with professors conducting pre-operative/post-operative check-ups and directly responsible for the patient’s condition analysis/surgical plan determination. /(3) Each patient has a surgical team in charge of the whole process. (4) Communication with anesthesiologists to select safe and effective anesthesia to ensure painless surgery; (5) Thorough measures to prevent complications: including prevention of deep vein thrombosis, infection prevention, analgesia, early functional exercise; (6) Progressive rehabilitation; (7) Lifetime follow-up service.
