What to do if your baby doesn’t pee for a whole day after a fever

Baby fever after a whole day without urine may be due to insufficient water intake or urinary tract infection, the need to replenish water and anti-infective treatment.
Fever will cause the body temperature to rise, skin heat dissipation and shortness of breath take away water from the body, the baby eating and drinking water is insufficient, so that the body is in a state of dehydration, the kidneys in order to ensure the blood flow throughout the body, so that the filtered urine is reduced or even no urine. Children with fever need to drink more water, one is to replenish the water lost due to fever, and the other is to speed up the urine discharge to help reduce fever.
Pathologically if there is no urine after a fever, there may be urinary tract damage. Congestion and edema of the mucous membranes of the urinary tract cause retention of urine in the bladder or hydronephrosis, resulting in oliguria or anuria. Infections such as urethritis and cystitis should be actively treated, and urination will return to normal after the infection is cured.
