What’s wrong with normal leukorrhea and itchy vulva?

In women with normal leukorrhea and itchy vulva, it may be caused by vulvar skin problems, such as common vulvar dystrophy, vulvar eczema or fungal infection of the vulvar skin. A culture of the itchy secretions and, if necessary, a local biopsy are needed to confirm the diagnosis. If vulvar dystrophy is the cause, itching may be accompanied by hypopigmentation of the vulvar skin and may even result in labial atrophy. If it is a local fungal infection of the vulvar skin, there will be obvious flaking in the itchy area, and a culture of the local secretion of the itch can detect fungal growth, which can be applied locally with clotrimazole cream to relieve itching.
