Why do orthodontic treatments require tooth extraction?

Tooth extraction is common in orthodontic treatment. Some conditions such as severe crowding and protrusion of teeth are treated by extractions. If the teeth are not extracted, the alignment is prone to relapse and is not aesthetically pleasing. Some cases of protrusion, retrusion, and open jaw will not be corrected. After the teeth are extracted, there is a gap that the doctor uses to move the teeth for orthodontic purposes, and after the orthodontic treatment is completed, most of the extracted gaps will be completely closed.
