How to do fracture nose surgery

A nose that has been fractured needs to have the swelling aggressively reduced. When the swelling has gone down, if the external nose is still significantly skewed and unattractive, such a situation can be considered for surgery. The surgery needs to be done under general anesthesia, but because the operation is relatively quick, there is usually no need for anesthetic intubation, just intravenous compounding is sufficient. When the anesthesia takes effect, the nasal bone repositioner can be used to adjust the fracture of the patient’s nose with rapid force, after which the patient’s nasal cavity is quickly filled with an expansion sponge, which mainly plays the role of support. It takes about a week after the surgery and the patient can be considered for discharge. It is important not to subject the nose to external impact afterwards, as such a situation is particularly likely to cause the patient’s nasal bone to collapse again.
