  The Chinese medical classic Huang Di Nei Jing, Su Wen, says, “Poisons attack evil, five grains are nourishing, five fruits are helpful, five animals are beneficial, five vegetables are filling, and odors are combined and taken to replenish essence and benefit qi.”  Vegetables and fruits are the main source of vitamins, inorganic salts and dietary fiber, and the three nutrients can help the body absorb other nutrients in food to keep the body functioning properly. Therefore, “five fruits are helpful” and “five vegetables are sufficient”, and vegetables and fruits are important supplements and important additions to the diet.  The body needs protein to support growth and development, chicken, duck and fish are rich in protein and various minerals, but for children, more food is most likely to stagnate and turn into heat, injuring the spleen and stomach, and in serious cases, the chancre will appear with large belly and tendons, laying hidden dangers for future adult diseases.   Generally speaking, the supply of adequate nutrition, that is, a variety of children’s growth and development of essential nutrients, can promote the growth of children’s height, scientific feeding can increase the height of about 10cm.  ① Eat a good breakfast: breakfast should be full and eat well, because if children do not eat breakfast, the body in order to supply the brain and activities of the class energy consumption have to use the body reserves of protein, which is like a kettle. In the long run, the child will lack of protein and affect growth and height ② children do not partial food: unbalanced nutrition will cause a decline in resistance, meat, eggs, fresh vegetables and fruit varieties as diverse as possible, eat less of a variety of fried, smoked, too sweet food.  ③ Do not overeat – to avoid overburdening the spleen and stomach: infants and young children’s organs are delicate, digestion and absorption function is not yet sound. Although the development of vigorous, urgent need for nutrients, but the spleen and stomach movement digestive function is relatively insufficient. And the total volume of children is small, if a little lack of water, it is not a small percentage. So, generally children are sick, dehydration is a major cause, that is to say, the child is not drinking water in time when it is time to drink water. Note that to drink plain water, not a variety of sugary drinks.  ⑤ Avoid cold:Baby’s spleen and stomach digestive function is weak, and the ability to digest food is poorer than that of adults. If baby is left to his own will and eats a lot of cold drinks or cold food, the delicate little stomach will be hurt and abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting and not wanting to eat will occur. At the same time, some herbal medicines and anti-inflammatory drugs used for the treatment of cold and fever can also damage the baby’s spleen and stomach to varying degrees when taken inappropriately. Therefore, when your baby is sick, do not take a lot of antibacterial or certain antipyretic drugs for a long time, and make sure to protect the digestive function of the spleen and stomach. Once the spleen and stomach are damaged, recovery is very difficult.  ⑥ Don’t have to be too clean – form an immune memory:The immune system can form an immune memory for infectious pathogens and in case you meet them again, you can quickly eliminate them. If your home is too clean, your child will not have the opportunity to produce antibodies through the infection, but the resistance will be weakened and may lead to allergies and autoimmune disorders. Usually just use normal soap and water to achieve the purpose of cleaning, do not use disinfectant every day.  If you want to boost your baby’s immunity, refuse to give your baby refined and processed foods that are high in oil and sugar. Eat more natural foods, more vegetables and fruits rich in vitamins and minerals, and in addition, do not let your baby’s partial diet lead to nutritional imbalance.
